TALK by renowned garden designer Sarah Price

We don’t have to choose between beauty, practicality and sustainability. Sarah Price will explain her current methods of making gardens that are low impact, innovative and rich in wildlife. Sarah has won three RHS Chelsea Flower Show gold medals, co-designed the 2012 Olympic Park and has written for Gardens Illustrated.

Slate House: owners Graeme Deas and Stuart Hedley take us on a tour of their garden which includes a well-stocked polytunnel, vegetable beds, fruit cage, grapes, peaches and orchards as well as flower borders.

Finish at Bryn Farm (a 5-10 minute walk away), where Jane and Paul Rose will also serve tea & cake (FREE to members).

Delightful Dahlias

A kaleidoscopic slide show demonstrating how the various hybrids can be grown and combined with other late flowering perennials and grasses to extend the gardening season into late autumn. Speaker, Pip Smith, was formerly Head Gardener at Wollerton Old Hall and is now a garden designer.
